CBW Awareness Week
July 20-24, 2026
What is CBW Awareness Week?
CBW Awareness Week is a time to recognize and celebrate Community-Based Workers and the important role they play in supporting health, connection, and care across our communities.
Community-Based Workers help people access resources, navigate services, build confidence, and stay connected to their community. They may serve in many roles, including Community Health Workers, peer support specialists, doulas, promotores, outreach workers, navigators, care coordinators, and other trusted community-based positions.
While their titles may vary, their work is rooted in trust, relationships, and community connection. CBW Awareness Week is an opportunity to honor their impact and help more people understand the value they bring to individuals, families, organizations, and systems of care.
How Can You Get Involved?
There are many ways to celebrate CBW Awareness Week and help recognize the Community-Based Workers in your organization or community.
You can:
Share a story, photo, or quote from your CBW team
Highlight the role of CBWs on social media
Display a printable poster in your office or community space
Create a bulletin board or appreciation wall
Record a short video or reel about what CBWs mean to your organization
Use the partner toolkit to share ready-to-use messages and graphics
Encourage others to learn more about the role of CBWs
Whether you’re a CBW, work alongside CBWs, or benefit from their support, your voice helps raise awareness of this essential workforce.
Together, we can celebrate the people who connect communities to care, build trust, and help create healthier systems for everyone.
