Emily has spent her career working with vulnerable populations. Now a permanent addition to the HealthConnect team, she brings four years in resource navigation, abuse reporting, and crisis de-escalation, as well as 10 years covering social equity as an award-winning journalist, editor and copywriter, mainly as an independent business owner.

She specialized in serving seniors and people with disabilities at 211info, supporting more than 5,000 clients with complex needs across Oregon and Southwest Washington. Emily also co-organized a grassroots LGBTQ+ community group in New Mexico and led communications efforts for AIDS Walk Northwest.

She is grateful to rejoin SWACH permanently after serving in a temporary capacity for almost a year, supporting agency referrals, project management, and community engagement across three departments.

Emily has a bachelor's degree in journalism and is currently pursuing an MBA with a certificate in social innovation and entrepreneurship.
